How it works
The application works for Android and iPhone platforms. The instalation requires smart mobile phones on both sides (parents and child). The parents application may be downloaded and used on up to two mobile phones under a single license. It is able to have more childs in the parents application.
Download and installation of the application
The application must be first downloaded from Google play or from AppStore depending on the operation system of the phone. The ChildSecureParent application has to be installed to the mobile phone of parents and the ChildSecureChild application has to be installed to the mobile phone of a child.Downloading of these applications is free. After installation of the applications you need to pair the two applications, respectively two mobile devices in which the applications are installed. A paging code has to be generated in the child´s application by pressing a button. The first step in the parents application is a registration and the second step is to buy a slot for adding a child. The slot can be purchased for 300 CZK per year on Google play or Appstore. By pressing “+“ icon and entering a pairing code, which was generated in the child´s application, it is possible to add a child to the slot. Then the child's name and nickname have to be filled. The child's name identifies the child in applications of both parents and the nickname is the name under which the child is displayed on the mobile device where the nickname was created.
To localize the position of the child just click on the icon of the child and press "Find". Localization request will be displayed in the child´s application and after a while the map with the child´s position will be displayed in parents application. Search time varies depending on the possibility of using particular signals from one second to two minutes.
System of signal usage and localization algorithm
The application works with three options of signal locating. Primarily uses the GPS signal, then Wi-Fi networks and finally the BTS signal. The GPS is most accurate, the location can be found
within meters. Wi-fi networks typically provide a relatively accurate positions as well. BTS signal has an accuracy of a radius of hundreds of meters but works anywhere in the range of transmitters
of mobile operators, even outside the range of Wi-Fi networks or GPS signal (usually indoors).
The application works with the algorithm of localization by GPS, BTS and Wi-fi.
In case of multiple position requests separated by a time distance of more than 30 seconds, the application uses a later position, even if it was less accurate. If the time difference of position requests is less than 30 seconds and a difference of positions accuracy is less than 30 meters, the application uses the later position. If the time difference of position requests is less than 30 seconds but a difference of positions accuracy is bigger than 30 meters, the application uses the more accurate position. This algorithm is applied in cases where the time difference of position requests is not more than 10 minutes.
If the time difference of position requests is between 10 and 45 minutes, the 30-second time difference of position requests is replaced by the 5-minute time difference in the calculation.
If the time difference of position requests is between 45 and 120 minutes, the 5-minute time difference of position requests is replaced by the 15-minute time difference in the calculation.
If the time difference of position requests is between 120 minutes and 12 hours, the 15-minute time difference of position requests is replaced by the 60-minute time difference in the calculation.
If the time difference of position requests is more than 12 hours, the 60-minute time difference of position requests is replaced by the 4-hour time difference in the calculation.

- no permanent discharging of mobile phones batteries, as the application requires the position only in case of the query
